In 2025 the delegation from MIchigan University and Oakland university experienced Japanese culture in Ogaki city. Both of the parties joined the program to promote understanding of Japan through visits to facilities in Japan including Gifu prefecture, learing history and culture of Japan and living together with Japanese people. The groups were composed of 41 students from Michigan and Oakland. They arrived in Ogaki city after the visit to Osaka EXPOat the invitation of Gifu World Youth. On May 23th they experienced Japanese culture including making Japanese sweets, tea ceremony, visiting measure manufacturer and Japanese rice wine brewery. After that they were invited to the culture exchange party at Softopia Japan which enabled them to deveelop friendship with home stay families. They stayed at the private house on 23 through 26. Then they headed to Tokyo.
