150 years have passed since Japan entered into the treaty of amity and navigation in December of 1860 with Prussia (G Preussen) before the unified Germany. In the history of Japan and Germany relationship there was period which called on us to reflect on during the second world war however, Japan was influenced by Germany in the field of politics, culture, in the process of modernization which started in the Meiji period and currently we have developed partnership in terms of politics, economy, science and culture. In commemoration of the 150 the anniversary between Japan and Germany GWY held a lecture under the title of "The Natural energy source and tourism focused on environment in Germany" given by Mr. Peter Blumenstengel, Regional manager of Asia and Australia German national tourist office, Tokyo. We learned a lot through his lecture about incorporating of recyclable energy and coping with the antinuclear energy power plants in Germany. A lot of attention was drawn to the lecture partly because the lecture was given immediately after the accident of nuclear power plants in Japan leading to many questions and opinions from the audience, which provided us with an opportunity to think about our role to play.
